X3 Sports fighters go undefeated at Sin City Fight Club's Redline Grand Prix
October 10, 2009 - In typical X3 Sports fashion, the members of our fight team put on quite a show for the packed house at Center Stage in Atlanta. Marcus Stanford opened the night with a close battle with Amir Dadovic. After the first two rounds of battling back and forth, Marcus finshed the fight with a Kimura submission in the third round. This was Marcus's first fight under X3 Sports and we are proud to have him as part of the team.

The second X3 Sports fighter to enter the cage was Sid Bargo. Sid, one of Marietta's favorite kickboxing instructors put on a show for the members who were in attendance and filled up almost 1/3 of the entire arena. Sid's opponent, Stephen Upchurch, came out very aggressive. Sid kept his cool, attacked the angles and connected with a strong left hook that almost knocked out Upchurch's mouthpiece. That hit slowed Upchurch down and Sid was able to take Upchurch down after a few knees from the clinch position. On the ground, Sid trapped Upchurch's arm and threw continous hammer fists to the head opening up a deep Kimura that ending the fight at 1:23 of the first round.

In the headline fight of the evening, Clint "The Headbussa" Hester took on a rematch of a previous blood bath with Aaron "Tex" Johnson. This fight did not dissapoint as Johnson came out swinging. After a few flurries, Hester stayed calm and then started unleashing precision jabs, crosses and overhand rights. Each punch seemed to land perfect each time and rocked Johnson. After a roundhouse kick to the head that made the crowd go "Ooohhh!", Hester delivered the knockout blow at :42 of the first round.
